1. Ventilation & Airflow

  • Open windows and doors to create cross-ventilation.

  • Use fans to push paint fumes outdoors.

  • Best done during dry, sunny weather for faster odor dissipation.

2. Activated Charcoal or Baking Soda

  • Activated charcoal absorbs VOCs and odors quickly.

  • Baking soda in bowls can neutralize smells in smaller rooms.

  • Replace after 24–48 hours for best results.

3. Air Purifiers with Carbon Filters

  • Use HEPA air purifiers with activated carbon filters to trap fumes.

  • Ideal for closed spaces or apartments.

  • Run continuously for 1–2 days after painting.

4. Natural Absorbents

  • Bowls of vinegar can help neutralize odors.

  • Onions cut in half also absorb paint smells.

  • Replace daily until the odor fades.

5. Low-VOC or No-VOC Paint

  • Prevention is best—choose low-VOC or VOC-free paints.

  • Brands like Ecolour, Dulux envirO2, Haymes offer eco-friendly options.

  • Reduces odor and improves indoor air quality.
