Storage Doors

Cleaning: Remove grease, dirt, dust, and loose paint using degreasers and power washing.

Sanding: Lightly sand metal surfaces to promote adhesion.

Rust Treatment: Apply rust converter or rust-inhibitive primer to corroded areas.

Drying: Ensure the surface is completely dry before applying primer.

Product: (e.g., Dulux® Metalshield Etch Primer or Dulux® Protective Coatings Luxaprime®)

Purpose: Increases bonding strength between metal surface and topcoats.

Application: Apply evenly with a roller or spray gun.

Drying Time: Allow 2–4 hours depending on weather.

Product: (e.g., Dulux® Metalshield® Epoxy Enamel or Luxafloor® LGE for flooring integration)

Features:

Excellent adhesion and flexibility

High abrasion and impact resistance

Available in custom tint finishes

Method: Roll or spray in one or two coats as needed.

Drying: Minimum 6 hours between coats.

Product: (e.g., Dulux® Metalshield® Topcoat, Luxafloor® PTX for additional protection)

Purpose: Adds UV protection, color longevity, and enhanced durability.

Optional Additives:

Anti-graffiti coating

Anti-slip additive for base areas

Curing: Fully cured in 7 days.

Apply early in the day to avoid surface overheating.

For industrial doors, use high-build coatings for heavy-duty protection.

Avoid coating during high humidity to prevent surface blooming.
