With abundant natural light and large windows, every brush or roller mark could become visible especially on ceilings and upper walls. That’s why we used meticulous techniques to ensure flawless finishes and sharp, seamless transitions at every edge. Each partition and surface was precisely planned from the outset, and our careful painting matched this level of detail for a perfect result throughout the living space.

The narrow steel framing between the glass panels demands expert technique, as even with masking tape, precise application is necessary to avoid paint bleed and ensure sharp edges. When painting glass doors, applying thick layers can cause the doors to stick or jam when opening and closing. That’s why we always apply thin, even coats at overlap areas to keep everything moving smoothly. To ensure a clean finish and avoid paint on sliding surfaces, we take out the drawers before painting and put them back only after the paint is completely dry.

Book shelving (Dulux Aquaenamel Semi Gloss 'Vivid White') Given the frequent use and contact with books, we reinforced the bookshelves with an additional coat for enhanced durability and a clean, resilient surface.
Because the wall receives direct lighting, any surface irregularity or paint defect would be accentuated. This required meticulous preparation and precision during application to achieve a seamless result. We used water-based gap filler (acrylic sealant) where the walls meet the furniture to ensure a seamless, clean finish with no visible gaps.

The ceiling was painted with Resene Ceiling Paint in ‘Triple Black White 30%’ and finished before any light fixtures were installed, resulting in a cleaner, more refined look. The walls feature Resene Zylone Sheen in ‘Triple Black White’, while all trim, including skirting and window frames, is coated in Resene Lustacryl Semi Gloss Enamel ‘Alabaster’. By using a single colour across all the trim, the space feels cohesive and balanced subtle details that quietly elevate the overall interior.

The ceiling is finished with Resene Ceiling Paint in ‘Triple Black White 30%’, while the walls are coated in Resene Zylone Sheen ‘Triple Black White’. All trim including skirting and window frames uses Resene Lustacryl Semi Gloss Enamel ‘Alabaster’. In this space, the meeting of modern style and classical charm creates an elegant, balanced atmosphere that feels both timeless and inviting.

Working in a space where every light fitting and piece of furniture had been so thoughtfully selected added both pressure and inspiration driving us to ensure that every detail would be just right.

For a truly perfect result, we carefully disassembled the sliding doors to access and paint the overlapping sections then reassembled them, ensuring a seamless finish even in the hidden parts. By using the same trim colour for both interior and exterior, we achieved a quiet sense of harmony throughout the space, with no harsh transitions just a smooth and unified flow from room to room.
